With chapters in Silicon Valley and over one hundred and fifty cities across the globe, Mobile Monday aims to bring together tech visionaries, stakeholders, and investors in the tech community to share information and most importantly network. On the 23rd June, Mo Mo Monday is launching it’s new Southern Chapter, covering Cork, Waterford, Kerry, Tipperary in Crane Lane, in Cork City.
Whatever stage of your technical journey you are at, there is something for everyone at this event. Chaired by one of our foremost tech journalists, John Kennedy (Silicon Republic) hear from tech maveriks such Enda Keane and Garrett Mullolly of Treemetrics (who work with the European Space Agency) , Patrick Leddy (Furious Tribe) and Pulsate, who will share their experiences around their journeys in the tech world and the Irish Coastguard, about challenges and opportunities they have experienced.
Fundamental to Mobile App development is its future and how we encourage children to engage with Tech. Bernard Kirk – Education visionary who works closely with Minister Ciaran Cannon on their “EXCITED” movement will join us to talk about the future of coding which will harness the technical and innovative expertise of our teachers and drive a cohesive digital agenda in schools, and some stars of Coder Dojo (the brainchild of Bill Liao and James Whelton). Also on the panel, Coder Dojo’s new CEO, Mary Moloney, and Harry McCann – young tech entreprenuer and founder of KidTech sharing his experiences of being a founder and MD while still in his teens!
Funding your small or large tech business will be discussed by Adrian Mullent, Bank of Ireland, Robert Bushnell, Enteprise Ireland and Frank Walsh, Enteprise Equity. And in a session that’s aimed at posing the question “what companies want”, advice for any start-up approaching a company, with Bernard Coen, and Michael Lisovsky from RTÉ Digital, Fabien Peyaud from Herdwatch and Kevin Hennessy from Boat Warden who has Hollywood A-listers as his clients.
